In 2000, Maggie founded www.publicartonline.org.uk The site has gained an international reputation for being a unique intellectual resource that provides a research based forum for debate. It is now recognised as one of the leading public art websites in the world and is featured in the ‘public art timeline’ published in ‘The Practice of Public Art’ edited by Cameron Cartiere and Shelly Willis, published by Routledge.
PROJECT provided a national focus for Maggie’s work and firmly established the benefits of involving artists at the earliest stage of place shaping. The scheme, aimed at supporting artists in engaging with master planning, conceptual thinking and early consultation was accompanied by independent evaluation by Comedia – for further details refer to www.publicartonline.org.uk/pasw/project.
